The Ogden Mustangs have added speedy power forward Kerry Kruzel for 2017-18.

Kruzel is another from the TPH Thunder pipeline to come from Nashville to the Mustangs. Last season the Mustangs had three TPH alumni as key contributors in Ogden — Max Dorfman, Ryan Mascali and Zeke Zeier. This season, Mascali will be back. Ian Currie will also join Kruzel as TPH newcomers to Ogden.

Kruzel visited Ogden toward the end of last season, getting a taste of Mustangs hockey.

“I love the small-town feel of Ogden. It’s like home,” Kruzel said. “The fans are awesome, and I’m looking forward to developing into a better player there.”

Born in 1999, Kruzel has three seasons of junior hockey eligibility remaining. At 6-feet and 220 pounds, he’s a powerful skater, with a lot of speed and who can grind. Kruzel officially calls Atlanta, Georgia home.

Kruzel is the 12th Mustangs signing of the offseason.

More signings will be announced throughout the month as preparations begin for the new season to start in September. Follow us on FacebookTwitter and Instagram to stay connected.
