The Ogden Mustangs have added goaltender Mason Palmer for the 2019-20 season.

Palmer is in town and ready to go just as training camp starts. He was one of the final cuts from the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL this summer.

Palmer comes from the TPH Thunder program in Nashville where former Mustangs such as Ryan Mascali, Kerry Kruzel, Ian Currie, Max Dorfman and Zeke Zeier all came to Ogden from.

“I’m looking forward to the year,” Palmer said. “I think we should be able to win a championship. From what I’ve been told, we compete every year, and I’m looking forward to it. I’ve never won my league before, and I’m looking forward to doing it here.”

Palmer stands at 6-feet and 185 pounds. He’s from Cumming, Georgia. Born in 2000, he’ll have one more season of junior hockey eligibility remaining after this one.

Palmer is the 23rd player announced on the Mustangs’ 2019-20 roster. He’s the 13th new addition to go along with 10 returners from last season.
