The Ogden Mustangs have signed Oliver Mårslätt for the 2017-18 season.
Mårslätt played for Sundsvall Hockey J20 last season, where he put together a solid campaign with 14 wins, a 1.78 goals against average and .939 save percentage.
“I’m very excited to be in Ogden and play this season,”Mårslätt said. “I’m looking forward to competing. I’ve really liked the team and the town so far. I feel like this is a good environment for players to develop, so I’m excited to be a part of that, and see how far we can go as a team and how my own development goes through the season.”
Born in 1998, Mårslätt has two seasons of junior hockey eligibility remaining. At 6-feet and 180 pounds, he’s a very technical, quick goaltender who’s able to read the play well. He calls Sundsvall, Sweden home.
The season started last weekend when the Mustangs traveled to Colorado and picked up a big 2-1 series victory. Home opening weekend is Sept. 29 and 30 against the Utah Outliers. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay informed and connected.
