Former TPH Thunder forward Ian Currie will join the Ogden Mustangs for the 2017-18 season, continuing the pipeline of players coming from the greater Nashville, Tenn., area.

Last season the Mustangs had three TPH alumni as key contributors in Ogden — Max Dorfman, Ryan Mascali and Zeke Zeier.

Currie expects to be a contributor as well.

“I’m really looking forward to playing for this great organization,” Currie said. “I was lucky enough to come out and see a few games and how things are done last season. I can’t wait to be a part of it all. I want to help the team get back to where they were last year and try to help them go further this year.”

Born in 1998, Currie has two seasons of junior hockey eligibility remaining. At 5-feet-10-inches and 160 pounds, he’s a speedy playmaker. Currie officially calls Franklin, Tenn., home.

Currie joins Austin DittenhaferMatt McClelland and Matus Spodniak as the lone players announced thus far on this seasons roster.
