The Ogden Mustangs’ top eligible returning defenseman from last season, Austin Dittenhafer, will return for another season in Ogden for the 2017-18 season.

Dittenhafer was the Mustangs’ final roster addition before last season’s playoff run, at the trade deadline. He was a major difference maker, racking up a point per game, with 18 in 18 overall.

Born in 1997, this will be Dittenhafer’s final season of junior hockey eligibility. At 6-feet-1-inch and 194 pounds, he’s a smooth-skating, puck-moving defenseman with a rocket of a shot. The Lancaster, Penn. native will look to pick up right where he left off last season.

“I’m really excited to go back to Ogden for my last year,” Dittenhafer said. “I was very fortunate to be a part of this great organization for the last few months of the 2016-17 season. I’m confident we can build and grow from last season. I’m looking forward to return and to another great season wearing the Mustangs jersey.”

Dittenhafer joins two forwards in Matt McClelland and Matus Spodniak as the lone players announced thus far on this seasons roster.
