The Ogden Mustangs are thrilled to announce the signing of Forward Jack Day for the 2022-23 season. Next week can’t come soon enough as Jack is ready to step foot in Ogden. “The crowd and arena are top notch and it's going to be electric playing in front of our fans” he said. “I chose Ogden for multiple reasons. It's starts with the staff and the way the program is run. Coach Orlando has great experience, and I can't wait to learn the game under him.” states Day.
“Adding Jack to our forwards really strengthens the group. He’s another guy that plays the game the right way, hard and heavy. His ability to share the puck and his compete level are very high which will challenge his teammates to be better every day. Jack is a great teammate and his mentality around the game fits with what we already have in the locker room. He will mesh well in our winning culture and become a contributor to the team quickly.” explains Orlando.
Day adds, “My play style is a playmaking, skill forward. I believe seeing the ice and being able to scan the arena with a quick glimpse is a huge upside to my game. I look forward to moving the puck and making plays at the junior level.”
Day spent his youth career between some of the top AAA programs in Michigan: Oakland, Victory Honda and most recently the Little Caesars. Last season Day posted 10 goals and 18 assists in a very strong 18’s division where he was challenged every night. Day seeks to add his playmaking ability to a highly talented forward group in Ogden.
“My personal goals for this season include working just as hard off the ice as on the ice. I'm expecting my game to grow all around, as well as growing as a person.
I want to lead by example and work to make everybody around me
better.”, Jack concludes.
